It is an honor to have Jerome Bettis, one of the greatest running backs in NFL history, with us tonight. Bettis, nicknamed “The Bus,” began his career with the Los Angeles Rams, who made him the 10th overall pick in the 1993 NFL draft. During his highly successful rookie campaign, Bettis rushed for 1,429 yards and earned NFL Co-Rookie of the Year honors, Rams MVP and The Sporting News Rookie of the Year.

Bettis spent three seasons with the Rams before he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He ended his 13-year pro career in 2006 after leading the Steelers to victory in Super Bowl XL. A six-time Pro-Bowl selection and three-time NFL All-Pro pick, Bettis ranks fifth on the NFL’s all-time rushing list with 13,662 career yards.
